At The Well-Mannered Dog of Grand Rapids, our dog daycare staff members are ready to tire out your pet so you don’t have to. Our staff of canine professionals knows that dogs are social critters who crave interaction with people and other pets. At our dog daycare, canine play groups are matched to size and personality.
Six separate rooms with both open space and crating provide feeding security and quiet rest time in between rollicking play periods in our large indoor and outdoor areas under the watchful eyes of our staff. We screen all prospective four-legged clients to ensure that they can get along with other dogs. We insist that dogs be spayed or neutered, current on their vaccinations, and on regular flea and tick maintenance programs. Pets found to be ill or with fleas will be quarantined and held for the day at an additional charge.
Puppy Day Care: We love puppies. We will reinforce your housetraining efforts in the outdoor run accessible directly from the puppy pen. This area is located on the opposite side of the building from our main outdoor run where the big dogs play. No puppies younger than 5 months can be placed in our care as the puppies must have completed their entire series of puppy shots and a Bordatella (kennel cough) inoculation.
Veterinarians agree that an overweight dog is not only unhappy but prone to many debilitating ailments. Our dog daycare program can reinforce your efforts to trim down your best friend through lots of attention and exercise. A slimmer dog will be a much healthier and happier dog at home.
